The Undergraduate Level 3 Integrated Diploma in Business and Management is a 120-credit course. 

The qualification has been created to develop and reward those learners who are looking to or already have chosen a career in a business-related sector. 

It is envisaged that this programme will encourage both academic and professional development so that learners move forward to realize not just their own potential but also that of organizations across a broad range of sectors.

Programme Overview

The Level 3 Integrated Diploma in Business and Management is designed to provide aspiring and existing junior managers with a broader knowledge of effective management skills, while focusing on key management areas specific to the workplace. 

This course is made up of 12 units (120 credits) each level also includes written assignments. Each unit consists of approximately 65 to 75 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours of optional learning material. These materials consist of recommended exercises, recommended readings and internet resources.

Entry Requirements
Entry to Level 3 Integrated Diploma in Business and Management

Qualifications at Level 2 and/or

Work experience in a business environment and demonstrate ambition with clear career goals

Level 3 qualification in another discipline and want to develop their careers in management

As an online learner, you’ll also need a suitable computer with internet connection, together with sufficient IT competence to make effective use of word processing, internet and email

Course Content
An Introduction to the Business Environment
This Unit will explain different types of businesses and their ownership in an economy. Learners will understand the role of owner and stakeholders to fulfil the purpose of business.
Business Resources
The unit will explain how a range of resources including human, physical, technological and financial resources are used and managed within business.
An Introduction to Marketing
Learners will gain a basic understanding of the role of the marketing function, with particular emphasis on the role of marketing research and how it contributes to marketing planning and the development of a marketing mix for a target group of customers.
Human Resource Management
This unit will describe the most valuable resource of any organisation, its human capital. The unit provides an overview of some of the key areas that fall within the remit of the human resources function.
Business Communication
In this unit, learners will have the opportunity to develop, analyze and evaluate a range of methods used to communicate different types of business information and will understand the purpose of such communication. They will also produce and evaluate different types of business communication of their own.
Understanding Health and Safety in the Business Workplace
This unit will help to prepare learners for the world of work, where health and safety is a vital part of the modern workplace whatever sector is chosen. There trends to be levels of myth surrounding Health and safety requirements.
Managing Business Operations
The aim of this unit is to introduce learners to key aspects of all businesses and how they operate within the wider business environment, as well as internally. Operational control and the provision of best practice and sound policy will be shown to facilitate organisational excellence.
An Introduction to Finance
This unit introduces learners to practical accounting and financial reporting techniques used by managers in business organizations.
An Introduction to Leadership Skills
The aim of this unit is to provide the learner with an introduction to leadership skills, and how they can be identified and developed, and to show the importance of providing motivation for others.
Organizational Culture
To understand aspects of an organization’s culture and their effects on its activities and its management, as well as the significance of an ethical business approach.
Workplace Welfare
To understand that workforce welfare ensures that everybody employed within the organization is valued and that there are benefits to be gained from being part of the organization.
Thinking Entrepreneurially
The aim of this unit is to introduce the learner to an evaluation of themselves in an entrepreneurial context by using several techniques including SWOT.
Course Duration
Level 3 Integrated Diploma in Business and Management

To complete the Level 3 Integrated Diploma in Business and Management, it will take 10 months. Every month, the student will be required to complete one assignment.
